DELAY GONE DEEP
FOR YOUR APPLE DEVICES
TTAP for iOS
TTAP for iOS is a delay plugin inspired both by adventures with analog tape and by otherworldly textural effects only possible in the digital world. Whether you’re looking for bread-and-butter delay sounds, subtle enhancements, or evolving experimental echoes, TTAP fits what you need.
HOW IT WORKS
TTAP is a delay with two buffers. Each buffer features extensive controls for shaping the envelope of the delay sound, with another control set for glitchy pre-feedback repeats and warm pitch-bends.
Inspired by both the classic sounds of tape delays and by experiments in editing and splicing tape, TTAP features a dedicated Section control for determining the maximum time of an additional delay for the second buffer. Section also acts as a virtual LFO control, affecting a number of modulation parameters.
Both the Delay Time and Section controls in TTAP can either be synced to your DAW, or run free, providing up to 3.0 seconds of time for each. Try changing the speed while TTAP is running with high feedback for the expanding/contracting doppler sound familiar to any dub lover (or automate and randomize the process using the Bend control).
You can use TTAP as the simpler of delays: all parameters you expect in this kind of effects are here: Time, Feedback, Mix. You can also take advantage of a lopass-hipass filter to shape the wet signal. However, TTAP can do a lot more!
Let’s twist your delayed signal! You can reverse one or both tapes, set the chance to get a tape segment repeated, read the segment in non linear ways, and set stereo position by random.
Time of these parameters depends directly on Section.
This is the core parameter of buffer manipulation process.
It defines a section of “tape”, a length and a time resolution used as reference by other parameters: Envelopes, Repeat, Bend, Spread, and more…
We encourage you to use your ears to know when a parameter is set just right with TTAP, but if you want a specific readout for any control, just tap the control and check the upper-right corner for the Readout. Want to edit a parameter value, precisely? Just double tap on the Readout, and enter the value with the keyboard!
You get two highly shapable amplitude envelopes. Set one envelope on or off, select between two basic forms, and sculpt it according to your needs thanks to Peak, Warp, and Length intuitive parameters. The GUI provides you immediate and precise visual feedback of your settings.
Symbols and Text
TTAP uses a new graphical language for parameters. Click the symbol/text button to get text displays if you get lost!

In The Fade
Fade easily between two delay buffers, or jump to using one buffer exclusively with the click of a button.
In addition to control positions, the animations in TTAP give you essential information such as the mix between buffers, amount of feedback, time gap between buffers, and the envelope for each buffer.
Glitch and Chance
In addition to the familiar feedback control, TTAP includes controls for randomized Repeats (synced to the Section time) for a glitchier sound. In addition, each of the buffers features a dedicated Reverse switch.
Please note: TTAP for iOS is an Audio Unit extension (AUv3) – it only works in an AUv3 host app like Garageband, AUM, Cubasis, Beatmaker 3, etc.
